Yesterday was FRIDAY!!! I know that is an obvious statement, but it is my favorite day of the school week. Now, I will elaborate on what made this particular Friday one of the best Fridays of my life!
We had a Spanish test...that was super EASY!! It was over rooms in the house and the items normally found in those rooms. She read a passage twice, and we identified the Spanish words and translated them. It was super easy!
We had time in Algebra class to do the previous night's homework! We have to do a practice test over the weekend, but we go over it right before the test. So, I think I can at least at least get 80% of it done correctly, study it, and be ready to B or C the test on Tuesday! (I get some of the material in this chapter, but not much. Hooray for homework help!)
My sister, mother and I went to a Chinese restaurant right before seeing a play. It was delicious, as always, and I tried the wings they have there. I'd never tried them before, and they looked good. Oh my gosh, they were AMAZING!! So yummy.
Finally, we went to see "The Man Who Came to Dinner" at a high school about 20 minutes away from where I live. We got there about 10 minutes late, but that's okay. It was amazing! It was the only performance I'd seen that wasn't a musical. It was hilarious nonetheless. I had a blast! What surprised me was some of the content. It wasn't bad, but I hadn't expected it to be in a high school performance! Either way, I loved it! I just wish my school could do something like it. I knew a couple people in the cast from Bye Bye Birdie, and that was actually why I went. Two people I knew were in multiple scenes, but the other two I knew were only in one scene, respectively. They all rocked their parts, though! They were a SCREAM!
After the performance, I automatically looked for everyone that I knew. They looked as happy to see me as I was to see them! When I met up with one of the girls I knew, we found the guy who played Conrad Birdie and sang the "We Love You Conrad" song to him! It was a blast! Then I caught up with "Birdie", in TMWCTD he played Beverly Carlton and rocked it, and he introduced me to some of his friends. It was like nothing had changed. The three of us were like three peas in a pod! It was one of the happiest moments of my life, so far. We are going again tonight so we can see the beginning of the show, watch the whole show again, and have ourselves another Birdie reunion! That is what it felt like when I saw Mr. Macafee, two fellow screaming teens, and Conrad Birdie himself! There was another girl there I knew, but we didn't talk much. I can't wait to see it again!
Bye for now!!
